Five ways to play

PvE

Campaign

The Nine Worlds, one arena after another. Every mission has 20 waves and a boss at the end that you bring down with a finisher. Then the arena heals and the gates to the next one rise.

PvE, ranked

Endless

Waves that never stop. Each week everyone gets the same arena, and the leaderboard counts how far you get. Alone or in a group.

Co-op

The campaign and Endless also work together. If you fall, the others can bring you back. Online play needs no port forwarding.

Against each other

PvP

Capture the flag, gun game, infection and more, plus ranked with seasons. For game nights there is the Norns' Game, a board game around Yggdrasil with minigames.

War mode: archers on the castle wall, regiments on the plain in front

Battle

War

You defend a castle against more than a thousand warriors, a battering ram, ladders, siege towers and catapults. If the keep holds until dawn, the Einherjar ride out.

Why it hits hard

Everything breaks
Towers topple, wood burns, walls crack open. Rockets leave craters, and after ten waves the arena looks different.
Finish the boss by hand
Every mission ends with a boss. Wear it down until it staggers, then jump on it and bring it down with a finisher.
Weapons with weight
Pulse rifle, scattergun, rockets, Mjolnir, the Bifrost bow and more. The guns kick hard and you hear every hit land.
Together or against each other
Play the campaign with friends or meet them in PvP. Online games need no port forwarding.
